London, 25 May: Twisted London is taking its huge online success into the real-world and launching a gourmet market stall at Mercato Metropolitano, bringing a bespoke vegan burger made with fermented vegetables, to its eager fans.
The food channel with a cult following has responded to demands from its viewers and is offering the opportunity to meet the Twisted team and purchase a Twisted take-away in the heart of the city.
Teaming up with renowned chef Neil Rankin from Symplicity Foods, the Twisted offer is a specially created, bespoke vegan burger, as well as a side of vegan loaded fries. They were designed and recipe-tested by Neil Rankin in collaboration with Tom Jackson, Creative Director of Twisted London, and Lean Kitchen Network and Jungle Creations. The recipe for the Symplicity burger consists of a burger patty loaded with cumin lamb ragu, coriander, mint, ranch sauce, served in a toasted vegan brioche bun. It’s a light, fresh burger, bursting with the flavours of summer. The cumin lamb is also replicated on the loaded fries. Both options will be available to purchase from Twisted London’s stall at Mercato Metropolitano which is located in Elephant and Castle (42 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6DR from today.)
Tom Jackson, Creative Director of Twisted says: “Our audiences love our online recipes and now they have the chance to try them out in real life at the first ever Twisted London stall! This burger is something else - it’s delicious, it’s empowering and it’s made with completely sustainable ingredients. You won’t miss the meat and it’s made completely sustainably. The aim of having a presence at Mercato is to get people to sample the flavours of Twisted London, enjoy the labours of our collaboration with chef impresario Neil Rankin and hang out in good company with great food. We hope you’ll come and join us.”
Neil Rankin, Chef, says: Neil Rankin, Chef says: "We love the way the Twisted team have taken our products and worked with us to make something different. Mixing our ragù and cumin lamb style products creates a rich and spicy mince that works perfectly on top of our burger and also on loaded fries! Mercato is an awesome venue in Elephant and Castle for exploring food and we love that you can now get a Symplicity burger at the Twisted London stall."
