The ask and our answer
Yoti wanted to make some noise around their app store release, whilst highlighting how simple it is to fraud people online. With our insights revealing that catfishing was trending at the time, we created a hero video for social that showcased just how easy it is to fake your identity.
The film followed a 12 year old boy who set up a fake dating profile, posing as a 29 year old man. Via hidden cameras, we see him arrive at various real dates, much to the shock of the young women. The film playfully shows the identity theft dangers that we face in the modern world, that is of course, until the introduction of the new Yoti app.
